Northwest Airlines offers a program called E-First that rewards you for choosing the Electronic(E-Ticket) option. Purchase an unrestricted full fare Northwest Airlines E-Ticket for select markets and you will be eligible to upgrade to First Class for as little as $25 one way on select nonstop domestic flights under 750 miles. Upgrades are offered for just $50 one way on select nonstop flights of 750 miles or greater.
Check-in must occur at least 20 minutes (but no more than 6 hours) prior to departure. Upgrades subject to First Class availability at the time of check-in. Connecting flights are not eligible and other restrictions may apply.
